Halcyon Days was founded in 1950 in Mayfair, London.  They are best known for their beautifully enameled boxes. The craft of enameling on copper has been carried out in England since the 1740s and Halcyon Days has become its guardian. A business of tradition, all their enamels are handmade at the heart of where the industry originated by a team of highly skilled craftsmen and master artists who employ refined tecniques and processes that have been handed down for generations. Each piece is a work of art and demonstrates the very best of British craftsmanship. Their craftsmen take great pride in delivering luxury products of the highest standard. As a holder of three royal warrants, Halcyon Days is especially proud of its relationship with the British royal family.

Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. Its aim is to help everyone explore the story of how monarchs and others have shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built.

In collaboration with HRP, Halcyon Days has produced this opulent musical box featuring an original design inspired by the magnificent 'Golden Gates' found at the entrance to Kensington Palace.
